How do I get only the transcript?

Every recording you send to Verbato comes back with its transcript. At sign-up, choose “I just need transcripts”. When you send an episode, file it under Transcript only for the text alone, or under Transcript + summary for a summary too.

Can I paste a link instead of uploading the file?

Yes: paste a link from YouTube, a public episode on Spotify, or a direct link to the audio file, and Verbato fetches the recording itself.

Does the transcript say who is speaking?

On the Verbato plans that include speaker identification, yes, and you can give each speaker their name. The pricing page says which plans those are.

Can I fix a name the transcript got wrong?

Yes: in Verbato, edit any line, or find and replace a word through the whole transcript, and restore the original if you change your mind. What you export is the corrected text.

Which languages can my episodes be in?

Verbato transcribes 80+ languages. The transcript is in the language of the recording.

Do I pay per episode or per export?

Neither: with Verbato, you pay for hours of audio. Documents, corrections and exports are not counted, and signing up is free. The plans are on the pricing page.

Your format, not ours

The sections of each document and the way it is written are yours to change. To fix a document, say what is wrong in your own words. Make the same correction a second time and Verbato asks whether to keep it. Nothing becomes a rule unless you confirm it, and you can undo any rule.

How it works

Upload a file, paste a link, record in your browser, or send a voice note by Telegram or email. Verbato makes a word-for-word transcript, which you can edit and which stays beside your documents. They are written from it, in minutes.

Recording limits

A recording made in your browser can run up to 30 min on every plan; a longer session goes in as a file you upload. A free account takes recordings of up to 40 min each; for longer ones, see pricing.

Your recording

Deleted after 7 days by default, together with its transcript and documents. You can keep a project longer, up to your plan's limit. Deleting a recording leaves a receipt you can download.
