Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Verbato ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Verbato provides AI-powered audio and video transcription services. You upload audio or video files, and our system generates text transcripts using automated speech recognition technology.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that violates any applicable laws or third-party rights.
  • Use the Service to transcribe content you do not have the right to process.
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization.
  • Use the API in ways that exceed your plan's rate limits.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

  • Free accounts are subject to the limitations described on our pricing page.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Settings page.
  • Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for refund requests.

6. Data and Content

  • You retain ownership of all audio files you upload and transcripts generated.
  • We process your files solely to provide the transcription service.
  • Files and transcripts are deleted according to your plan's retention policy (see Privacy Policy).
  • We do not use your content to train AI models.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.

8. Limitation of Liability

Verbato is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Transcription Accuracy

Transcription accuracy depends on audio quality, language, accents, and other factors. We do not guarantee 100% accuracy. You are responsible for reviewing transcripts before use in any critical application.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
