Discussion

Launch date reviewed against the open billing defect. Team agreed the two ship together rather than decoupling the release.

Outcome

Launch moves one week; billing fix rides the same release.

And if all you need is the text: drop a recording, get it back as a verbatim transcript. That floor is always there.

Why it can write yours

There’s no menu. There’s a project type: yours.

Every other tool has a fixed list of what it can make. Verbato asks you to describe the document instead — and then writes it, every time.

Template — the shape

The sections your document has: Summary · Decisions · Action items — or Técnica · Hallazgos · Conclusión. Yours to define.

Instructions — how it’s written

Tone, length, what to include and what to leave out — in your words.

→ Your document

Written that way from every recording you drop, from now on.

Describe it once

Name the document, say what’s in it. That’s the whole setup.

Or start from a finished example

Verbato writes an example document first — you say what’s wrong with it. Nobody evaluates a schema; everybody can evaluate a document.

Yours to change

Rename a section, tighten the tone, drop a part — the next recording follows suit.

A project type is a saved recipe: the sections your document has, and how each one should be written.

you said: “boil it down: a two-sentence overview, then the action items as Name – task bullets. drop everything else”

REAL SESSION → REWRITTEN

Overview

The recording is a brief product sync on the launch date and progress of a billing bug fix. Sarah leads, with James and Diego providing updates and next steps.

Action Items

  • JAMES circulate the revised launch checklist by Friday.
  • DIEGO confirm the billing fix deploys to staging on Wednesday.
  • SARAH update the stakeholder note so nobody is surprised.

The mechanism

From recording to finished document.

01

A recording goes in

Drop a file, record in the browser, paste a link — or send it by Telegram or email.

02

It becomes a verbatim transcript

Word for word, with speakers told apart when you ask for that.

03

Your project type writes the documents

The sections you defined, written the way you asked.

04

Read, edit, export

In minutes, not seconds — good documents take a moment. Export when it's yours.

05

Correct it by chat

Say what's wrong. A correction you confirm applies from the next recording on — and you can undo any of them.

Speaks 99+ languages · Exports Markdown and PDF · Speaker names you can edit · Every document versioned

Watch — 90 seconds

From your first recording to your second.

Click to play — nothing on this page plays on its own.
Reserved slot · video in production

It comes to you, too.

Send a voice note on Telegram or forward an email with a recording — the documents come back in the same thread. Messages from senders you haven’t linked are ignored.

Telegram in → docs backEmail in → docs back

Conduct, not badges

Your data, on a timer.

The same whether it’s a podcast or a consult: deleted fast, provably, and never fed to a model to learn from.

  • Deleted in 7 days by default. Keeping anything longer is a choice only you make, up to your plan’s limit.
  • Deletion leaves a receipt. When something is removed, you can see that it was — not take it on faith.
  • Never used to train or improve AI models — ours or anyone else’s — and never sold.
  • No profile of you is built from what you record.
  • Delete everything, any time. Your account and every trace of your recordings, gone on demand.

The short answers

Fair questions.

What does Verbato do?

Verbato turns a recording into the finished document you need — not just a transcript. You describe a document once, its sections and how it's written, and every recording you send after that comes back that way: a report, show notes, an interview Q&A, meeting minutes. Drop a file, record in your browser, or paste a link.

Is there a tool that lets me define my own document format once and fills it from every recording?

Yes — that's what Verbato is built for. You set up a project type once (a template for the sections, plus instructions for how it reads and writes), and every recording after that fills it. Most tools hand you a fixed set of outputs; Verbato makes the document you defined.

Can't I just use ChatGPT for this?

You can paste one transcript and prompt it once. The difference is every-time versus one-time: Verbato remembers your document and applies it to every recording, keeps a verbatim transcript beside it so you can check the work, saves each version when you edit, and can send the result back to Telegram or your inbox. It's the repeatable version of what you'd otherwise redo by hand, every time.

How accurate is it?

Paid plans transcribe in 99+ languages. Just as important, the verbatim transcript sits right next to your document, so you can check anything against what was actually said. You sign nothing you haven't verified.

What happens to my recording?

By default it's deleted after 7 days. You can keep a project longer when you need to, and every deletion writes you a receipt you can see. Your recordings are never used to train AI models.

How long does it take?

A one-hour recording is usually ready in a few minutes — minutes, not seconds. You can close the tab; we'll notify you when it's done, and if it arrived by Telegram or email, the result comes back there.

What can I send it?

Audio or video — upload a file, record in your browser, or paste a link from YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox, Vimeo and many more. You can also forward audio by Telegram or email.

What's the catch with the free plan?

None hidden in the documents. Free is the whole product — every capability and every export format — on a smaller monthly amount of audio, with limits you'll see before you reach them. No card to start.

Do I have to set anything up before my first recording?

No. When you create your account, Verbato asks what kind of work you do, shows you a finished example of the document that fits, and lets you change it before you keep it — that becomes your default. If you only want transcripts, say so and skip it.

Can it write a report, session note, or show notes in my format?

Yes. Start from a ready-made world if one fits, or name your document and the assistant writes an example — you tell it what's wrong, in plain words, until it's right. From then on, every recording comes back in your format.

Does it work in Spanish?

Yes — Verbato works in English and Spanish from the free plan, and in 99+ languages on paid plans. Documents come back in the language you need.

Drop a recording. See what comes back.
