Where Verbato is different

Otter is genuinely good at one shape of document, because it was built for one shape of recording. Verbato has no fixed list. You describe a document once — its sections, and how it should be written — and every recording you drop comes back as that document. A radiology report. An episode's show notes. Otter charges per person, and caps how much each person can import in a month. Verbato meters one thing — the hours of audio you actually run through it. Your recordings have an expiry date, and you can prove they are gone.
